The Ministry of Agricultural Extension has recently launched a new nationwide initiative titled “Partner School Field”, aiming to strengthen agricultural knowledge, training, and innovation at the grassroots level. The project is being implemented across villages through the BS (Block Supervisor) network, ensuring direct engagement with farmers and local communities.
Under this initiative, selected fields in each village are being developed as Partner School Fields, where modern farming techniques, improved crop management, and climate-resilient agricultural practices are demonstrated in real conditions. These fields function as open learning centers, allowing farmers to observe, participate, and adopt best practices based on practical results rather than theory alone.

Officials from the Ministry stated that the core objective of the Partner School Field project is to bridge the gap between agricultural research and farmers, making advanced knowledge easily accessible at the village level. Through the guidance of BS officers, farmers receive hands-on training on seed selection, soil health management, pest control, irrigation efficiency, and sustainable production methods.

The project also emphasizes farmer-to-farmer learning, encouraging experienced farmers to share knowledge with others in their community. This collaborative approach is expected to increase productivity, reduce production costs, and improve overall livelihoods in rural areas.
Agricultural experts believe that the Partner School Field model will play a significant role in modernizing the country’s agricultural extension system. By utilizing the existing BS network, the Ministry aims to ensure transparency, regular monitoring, and consistent technical support throughout the project’s implementation.
As the initiative expands village by village, the Ministry of Agricultural Extension expects the Partner School Field project to become a key driver of sustainable agricultural growth, food security, and rural economic development in the coming years.
